Safety is never an afterthought at Bruno’s Haven; it’s foundational. We require meet-and-greets for both boarding and drop-in services to ensure the best fit and to fully understand your pet’s needs. We maintain strict vaccination standards for boarding guests and carefully evaluate each stay to create a healthy, structured, and secure environment for every animal in our care.

We believe every pet deserves to be understood. That’s why we limit the number of dogs in our home, allowing us to maintain a calm, structured environment while still providing attentive, personalized care for each guest.

About Bruno's Haven

Bruno’s Haven began in 2024 after I noticed my dog Bruno becoming overstimulated in a traditional kennel environment. I wanted a calmer, more intentional space where he could socialize in a small, supervised group. I began caring for dogs in my home, and quickly saw how much happier and more relaxed everyone was. What started as something for Bruno grew into Bruno’s Haven, a home-style environment where dogs feel safe, comfortable, and truly at home. And hopefully, I'll take this care into others homes too.

What should I know about boarding at Bruno's haven?

I’m a full-time student and am usually only away for classes, typically no more than four hours during the day. When I’m home, dogs can choose to relax inside, follow me around, lounge on the couch, or go in and out of the yard for sun, sniffing, and even a little grass-munching. When I step out, or it’s bedtime, each pup rests safely in their own kennel for quiet time. Once I’m back, everyone comes out again for attention, and we play fetch, tug, frisbee, and get the kiddie pools out for my summer guests!

What are the requirements for dogs staying at Bruno’s Haven?

For safety and comfort, dogs staying at Bruno’s Haven must be friendly with other dogs and comfortable resting in a kennel overnight or when I step out. All guests must also be up to date on vaccinations. Before a first stay, I require a meet-and-greet so I can ensure your pup is comfortable in the environment and a good fit for the group. Depending on the stay length, I may also require a trial daycare or short board. I also send image updates so you can feel confident they're in safe hands.

How do scheduling and timing work for drop-in visits? What's the service area?

Drop-in visits are scheduled within a general time window rather than an exact arrival time to allow flexibility for travel and other pets on our schedule. During each visit, we complete requested care tasks such as feeding, medications, potty breaks, litter or enclosure cleaning, and time with your pet. After each visit, we send an update with photos so you know how everything went. Drop-in services are primarily available for homes north of Morse Road, with some exceptions depending on distance.

What happens during a Bruno’s Haven drop-in visit?

During a visit, we follow your pet’s routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable while you’re away. Visits include feeding, fresh water, medications if needed, litter box or enclosure cleaning, potty breaks, and plenty of playtime or cuddles. We also keep an eye on their health and comfort, tidy small messes, and make sure doors and gates are secure before leaving. After each visit, we send updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing and know they’re safe, happy, and well cared for.
